Clear Change Day #1

Today I ate the following:


breakfast: brown rice cereal topped w/ raw almonds & pecans, almond milk & banana
lunch: radishes, avocado, carrots + rice cakes
snack: kale chips
dinner: baked salmon with salsa & steamed broccoli

Also had to start taking a nutritional meal replacement (NMR) called Ultra Clear - not yummy, but not awful when mixed with unsweetened fruit juice or in a smoothie. I will ramp up on the NMR as the cleanse progresses.
Today I thought about crackers and coffee. 

Making a Clear Change

So here we go, a 28 (err) 24 day journey of detoxifying my body. For the next three weeks I'm not going to eat any wheat, dairy, meat, gluten, soy, refined sugar or drink booze, caffeine or beer.  I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I just wish the damn marketing materials did look like a freaking tampon ad.

I'm baaack

Okay so I took a bit of a hiatus from this little project. but man between work, mike, friends, facebook, email (of which i maintain several addresses), and now Twitter (feel free to add me www.twitter.com/_jooles) I'm having a hard time maintaining all this social networking.

BUT I'M BAAACK- and this time I'm gonna really try to keep up with the thing- especially as Ally and I are about to embark on a 4 month training program with the goal of completing the TransRockies race August 10-17, 2008.

Gawd help us.

Deni is married

Mrs. Scammel- wow I really think Larry should take the Marshall name. I actually was inducted into the Griswold family as well. Yesterday, Alice and Lynda serenaded me with a tiara on my head. I responded by doing a lipsynch to Private Dancer by Tina Turner. Good thing I had downed a bottle of Stoli prior to all of this.
